For as long as he can remember, Galen Marcille wanted to design homes. He launched his business, Marcille Dezign Specialties, in 1975. Everyone wondered what he designed, so he eventually changed the business name to Marcille Building Designs, LLC. What did not change, however, was his passion for designing homes and remodel plans for people who wanted to fulfill their dreams for a new or remodeled home. Galen’s philosophy has always been that the people who hire him have their ideas about what they want in their home, and his goal is to listen to the client and bring those dreams to life with his designs.Galen has designed homes, small offices and businesses, and churches. One can find his homes in Washington, Alaska, Oregon, Idaho, and Hawaii. His styles range from traditional to contemporary. He works with contractors as well as individuals.

Galen is a building designer. He studied drafting for many years through high school and college. He started working with an engineer as a subcontractor draftsman. The engineer encouraged Galen and eventually turned a contractor over to Galen as his first client. That was in 1975 and he's been going strong ever since.

Through the years, Galen has built a reputation for quality designs that capture what the client desires and provide consultation services which supply creative ideas to enhance the project. Galen designs for efficiency in construction by keeping even dimensions wherever possible to eliminate waste.
